In the recent past, rain water runoff from the houses had started to flood the school football pitch and school outdoor playgrounds.
Using the DTLC approach, learners and the school administration embraced the idea of studying scripture and nature with prayer for divine energy to take responsible actions for a sustainable future. The school embarked on establishing a man made swamp at the flooding area as part of learners outdoor lessons in Social Studies and environmental conservation practical learning.
The school made swamp has effectively absorbed all the water runoff and floods are no more.
The swamp has attracted different types of birds at the school including Crested Cranes.
The swamp has accumulated and filtered water into the ground and the school has taken advantage of the swamp flowing water to establish four small fish ponds.
